Home Screen Shelves, Beverage Weight, and a Stats Webhook
Beanstats 2.16.0 rebuilds the home screen around horizontal shelves, makes extraction yields more accurate for filter brews, and adds a webhook that sends your stats as a whole so you can drive a dashboard with them.
What’s New
Home screen shelves
The home screen now uses horizontal shelves you can swipe through instead of one long vertical stack.
Your Beans shows the coffees you still have left, freshest roast first, with photos, remaining weight, and roast age. Recent Brews cards now carry six figures instead of three: dose, yield, ratio, brew time, and water temperature.
On iPad, shelves fit more cards on wider screens.
Beverage weight for filter brews
You can now record the final weight of coffee in your cup. The grounds hold on to part of the water, so measuring what actually ends up in the cup gives a truer extraction yield than water weight alone. Turn it on in Settings. Brews without it keep working exactly as before.
If you brew into a carafe, the scale capture button can subtract its stored weight for you, so you can weigh a full carafe that cannot be tared.
Stats snapshot webhook (Premium)
A new webhook event sends your coffee statistics as a whole rather than one brew at a time. It includes lifetime and 30 day totals, brewing streaks, ratings, bean inventory, your last brew, and your best rated beans, methods, origins, roasters, and processes.
There is a dedicated TRMNL format for e-ink private plugins, and the standard format works with Home Assistant and anything else that accepts JSON. Snapshots refresh when you log a brew, save a bean, or open the app.
See the Webhooks documentation for setup and payload details.
Fixes & Improvements
- Fixed an iCloud sync problem where a single rejected record could quietly stop syncing altogether, while the app still reported sync as healthy
Happy brewing!
