Suggested Recipes and Clearer Freshness
Beanstats 2.21.0 makes it easier to learn from a saved brew and turn your coffee history into the next recipe. Freshness recommendations explain their evidence, suggested recipes open an editable brew, and live charts give your pour a closer view.
What’s New
Recipes you can brew from
The Best Recipe card explains where its suggestion comes from and shows typical settings from highly rated brews. It keeps different brew methods separate and can draw on finished bags when looking for similar coffees. A grind setting is suggested only when the contributing brews share a known grinder.
On an active bag, tap Try these settings to open a new brew with the suggested dose, ratio-based water or yield target, temperature, and time. Available method and grinder selections carry over too. Everything stays editable, and nothing is saved until you save the brew.
Freshness with the evidence behind it
Brew Readiness separates general roast guidance from your personal rating-based window. It shows only brewing styles you have logged, so filter-only histories no longer show an unused espresso row. The card appears after you have recorded a brewing style.
Premium freshness insights put your preferred day range and today’s freezer-adjusted roast age first. See how this was calculated explains the supporting brews and bags, matching coffees, and higher- and lower-rated periods. When there is not enough evidence for a recommendation, the card explains what is missing.
Live charts that follow your pour
Filter flow charts start at 10 g/s and expand in steps up to 30 g/s after sustained high flow. The range stays expanded for the rest of the brew, including when you minimize and reopen the timer. Weight charts also start with less empty space and grow with the pour.
Sustained fast pours now count toward the live and saved peak-flow statistic, even above the chart’s display range. Brief spikes are filtered out. Espresso keeps its existing chart range.
Fixes & Improvements
- Product imports retain the original product URL when a shop redirects the page
- Peak freshness alerts stay at 9 AM on the peak day without repeat alerts later that day
- Top chart-axis labels stay visible within the chart bounds
Happy brewing!
