Beanstats 2.6: NFC Pre-Dosing and Live Brew Ratio

Beanstats 2.6 takes friction out of two parts of the brewing routine: dosing and watching the scale.

What’s New

NFC pre-dosing for beans

Stick an NFC tag to a bag (or a bean canister) and Beanstats can recognise it and pre-fill the brew form with that bean. Great for a fixed grinder/bag setup where you want to log brews in one tap.

Swirl ignore for Bluetooth scales

When you swirl the cup or tap the scale to settle the grounds, Beanstats now ignores the weight noise instead of treating it as a pour. The brew chart stays clean and the auto-stop does not get fooled.

Live ratio during brewing

The brew screen now shows your current ratio live while a scale-connected brew is in progress. Useful for filter brews where you want to land on a target ratio without doing math on the spot.

Hero image repositioning

Long-press a bean or equipment image to reposition the hero crop. Handy when the auto-crop chops off a label.

BooKoo espresso monitor support (2.6.1)

A follow-up release later in the month added initial support for the BooKoo espresso monitor, a natural pairing with the Target Weight Reached webhook introduced back in 2.5. For the full story on automating brew-by-weight cuts, see Brew by Weight: Target Weight Webhook.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Improved auto-stop sensitivity for espresso
  • Better auto-starting behaviour across espresso and filter brews

Happy brewing!
