Beanstats 2.8: Water Profiles, TDS, and Brew Control Charts

Water and extraction get a lot of attention in 2.8. You can now define water profiles, log TDS readings, and see your shots plotted on a proper brew control chart.

What’s New

Water profile management

Define and manage water profiles, with a preset calculator to help you dial in mineral content. Each brew can be tagged with the water profile you used, so you can spot patterns across recipes.

TDS tracking with automatic extraction yield

Log a TDS reading from your refractometer and Beanstats calculates extraction yield automatically. Combined with the new water profile field, this gives you a much richer picture of what’s actually happening in the cup.

Brew control charts

Brew detail, bean detail, and the statistics view now include brew control charts that plot strength against extraction yield. The classic control chart, finally inside the app.

Images in lists

Bean and brew lists now show inline images for entries that have them. Faster visual scanning, less tapping through.

Live ratio during Bluetooth brewing

While brewing with a connected scale, Beanstats now shows your current brew ratio live as the yield builds. No mental math mid-pour.
