Widgets
Beanstats ships six widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen, so your inventory, your last brew, and a shortcut into the brew form are one glance away.

Lock Screen widgets are available in circular, rectangular, and inline formats, except Quick Log, which is circular only.
Coffee Inventory
Your stash at a glance: total bean weight and how many active bags you have.
The medium size adds a “Best Beans” panel with your three highest-rated active beans, each with name, roaster, and star rating. A quick reminder of what to brew next.
Last Brew
The bean you last brewed, your rating (to the half star), the dose you used, and how long ago it was. The relative time refreshes every 15 minutes.
Quick Log
Two buttons, Espresso and Filter, that open Beanstats with the matching brew form already set up. On the Lock Screen it becomes a single circular button.
Freeze Stats
For anyone who freezes beans: total frozen weight, how many freeze entries are active, and your oldest freeze with its tag and age, such as “ABC12 (14 days)”. Hidden when freeze tracking is turned off.
Caffeine
Available when caffeine tracking is enabled. Shows the caffeine still in your system, today’s total against your daily limit, and the projected level at bedtime. The medium size puts today’s total on a circular gauge that turns red once you pass your limit.
Brew Activity
A heatmap of the past 26 weeks, one cell per day, shaded across five levels by how many brews you logged. The footer shows your total for the period.
Adding Widgets
Home Screen
- Long-press on your Home Screen
- Tap the + button in the top corner
- Search for Beanstats
- Choose a widget and size, then tap Add Widget
Lock Screen
- Long-press on your Lock Screen
- Tap Customize
- Add Beanstats widgets to the area above or below the clock
How Widgets Stay Current
Widget data is refreshed in a single pass when you leave the app, so what you see reflects your latest brews and purchases. Between refreshes, each widget updates on its own schedule: inventory and freeze stats hourly, last brew every 15 minutes, caffeine every couple of hours, and brew activity at midnight.
